Hello there, my name is Arno Erasmus and I’m a lifelong musician and creator. Born and raised in South Africa, now based in Canada, I lately find myself composing, recording and producing music from my home studio, whether creating for brands, businesses or personal projects. My focus is to bring creative visions to life.
I started as a musician playing in bands, learning the craft and discovering the magic of production. Over the last few years I’ve worked on various projects ranging from tribute shows to original music, collaborating with creatives worldwide. Whether composing for clients, refining my own solo projects or helping others shape their sound.
My goal is simple: to create real, meaningful music.
It All Happened so Fast
I wasn’t joking when I said I'm a lifelong musician.
Apparently, I wrote my first song at 6 months old, according to my mom (a masterpiece, I’m sure).
After picking up a few chords from my dad at age 6, I never looked back.
My journey began with performing in cover bands, later finding myself on a stage every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night—all while still in school! In 2009, I joined Centerstage, one of South Africa’s top entertainment companies, where I had the opportunity to perform in major tribute productions, including: Absolutely Abba Tribute Show, Tribute to Bruce Springsteen, Neil Diamond – Hot August Night Tribute Show, Lively Up Yourself – Tribute to Bob Marley, Hey Tonight – CCR Tribute, Status Quo Tribute Show, Tribute to Phil Collins and many other shows for corporate functions. I also performed in other productions; The Kick-Ass Guitar Show and Rocking Through the Decades.
One of my biggest highlights was stepping into a music director role—collaborating and directing a 10-piece band for a production called Back to the 80s. This was more than just performing a show; it was about bringing artists together, arranging the show making sure everything came together seamlessly and running this show successfully for 2 months.
Beyond tribute performances, I’ve played in many cover bands and original line-ups, including releasing, Don’t Give Up with the South African band Krypt.
Teaching has also been a big part of my journey—I spent five years giving guitar lessons to students of all ages. During that same time, I’ve managed bands and booked artists or DJs for weddings, birthdays, parties and corporate events, ensuring unforgettable performances.
Outside of music, I’ve built a strong career in the tech industry, helping companies develop and support various information systems. My skills also extend to branding, design and web development, where I’ve created complete branding kits, custom websites and IT solutions for clients since 2015.
Lately, my focus has been to write and produce custom music for media while also enjoying life as a super cool dad. At my core, I am an artist and a creator who loves to inspire, connect and bring something positive to every project I work on.
