What I’ve been up to
Hey everyone! I figured it was time for an update on what I’ve been working on these last few months.
Life has been a whirlwind of creativity, business planning and of course, shifting into some big personal changes such as parenthood. I feel very blessed to experience so many life events and thank God every day for the blessings in my life.
Here’s a look at what’s been keeping me busy.
Music Production & Business Growth
I’ve been spending some time in my home studio, working on writing, recording and producing over 40 song ideas. Right now, I’m honing in on the music for my upcoming single, making sure every note and arrangement is exactly how I want it. This process has been rewarding and I’m excited to get these tracks polished and ready for release.
Beyond my music released as a solo artist, I’m also expanding my music business, focusing on writing and recording music for ads and businesses. It’s been a great experience figuring out how this industry works and providing value for clients while still staying true to my artistic vision.
What artistic vision do I have you might wonder? Well, my music has to be real. This means no AI.
It needs real human touch and allows for real time feel. (Time feel is how a musician interprets and plays the rhythm of a piece)
Going into a little more technical detail, I’m also trying not to quantize everything to death. I’d rather use it sparingly or record multiple takes until I feel the timing is solid enough. (Quantization in music is the process of aligning musical notes to a grid to improve their timing. It's used to fix timing issues in recordings. However, if not done properly, it can ruin the true feel or groove in your music. It could also be used artistically, for example, to craft new beats and shape it into specific patterns.)
After watching many hours of behind-the-scenes footage of The Beatles and observing their creative process, I’ve found new inspiration that has reshaped the way I approach my own work.
Balancing Creativity with Everyday Life
Full-Time Career
Music isn’t the only thing on my plate. I’m still working full-time, which keeps me engaged in a different way. When I balance my passion for music with my career and personal life, life is good.
I’m truly grateful for everything I have and the experiences that have brought me here. Each one has taught me something valuable, shaping who I am today.
Exciting Personal Milestones
On top of all that, I became a dad! It’s such an exciting and life-changing time. Yes, we're still in the "newborn phase," and every day brings its challenges—but it's also incredibly rewarding!
While I’m making big moves in music, I’m also making sure I stay present for this chapter in my personal life.
What’s Next?
The next few months will be all about finishing my “pending” projects, growing my music business and being the best dad I can be.
I’ll also be exploring new ways to connect with my supporters.
Thanks for following along on this journey. Your support means everything and I can’t wait to share more stories with you soon!
